Vor vierzig Jahren kaufte ich meine erste Nikon.Eigentlich sollte es die Nikon EM sein. Ich hatte keine Ahnung von Spiegelreflexkameras und glaubte, eine vollautomatische Kamera sei genau richtig für mich. Die Fotofachverkäuferin, selbst eine Fotoenthusiastin, wollte mir die EM nicht verkaufen. Sie gab mir die FG-Broschüre und sagte, ich solle es mir noch einmal gut überlegen, weil ich früher oder später eine Kamera mit manuelle Belichtungseinstellung schätzen würde.
Sie hatte recht, und ich bin ihr heute noch dankbar dafür.
40 years ago I bought my first Nikon. Actually it was supposed to be the Nikon EM. I knew nothing about SLR cameras and thought a fully automatic one would be perfect for me. The specialist saleswoman, herself a photography enthusiast, didn't want to sell me the EM, gave me the FG brochure and said that I should think twice about it, because sooner or later I would learn to appreciate a camera with manual settings.
She was right. I am still grateful to her today.

I was careless and it could have been worse. Nikon Service fixed it.
