On March 1, 2021 foliodrop ceases to operate. My website will be taken off the web as a consequence.
It was online from 5 August 2015 till 28 February 2021.
5,885 unique visitors viewed it 21,101 times.
My photo blog has counted many more page views since the first post.
I like, however, the idea of a website as a showcase for my pictures and will look around to find a replacement.
So it’s goodbye website for the time being.

Surprised to see that my website is still online:
We had a sunny weekend and today was an exceptionally warm day with temperatures up to 19°C.
Zuerst sah ich nur die Menschenmenge am Ufer, dann den Hund im Eis. Wir warteten hilflos lange Minuten auf die Feuerwehr.
Dann, als das Einsatzfahrzeug kam, befreite sich der Hund mit einer letzten Anstrengung aus der tödlichen Gefahr, trottete brav zu seinem Herrchen, einem äußerst besorgten älteren Herrn und wurde von der Feuerwehr trocken gerieben und in eine Decke gehüllt.
At first I sah only the crowd at the water’s edge, then the dog in the ice hole. Helplessly, we waited for the firefighters to come to the rescue.
Then, just as they were arriving, the dog escaped from his ordeal with a last effort. He trotted obediently to his owner, a distraught elderly gentleman, and was dried und covered with a blanket by the firefighters.
